Harveys of Mere Green are a highly successful and greatly respected property firm that was formed in 2001 by Charles Thursfield BSc (Hons) MNAEA. Since then Harveys has grown to form a one stop property business that covers sales, lettings, property management, new homes and professional work.

Harveys is a privately owned and award winning independent Estate Agent owned by Charles Thursfield. Charles, who has grown up in Sutton Coldfield, employs staff who have unrivalled local knowledge and a wealth of experience. We pride ourselves on the fact that we achieve excellent results with a large proportion of our work coming from recommendation and repeat business. Harveys are also recommended by many local solicitors who trust us to do the best for our clients.

The double fronted office is located in a prime position opposite the Mulberry Walk shopping centre, Mere Green. In 2016 this was redeveloped to include the £15m plus shopping arcade called Mulberry Walk. With mixed-use regeneration of Mere Green town centre, the scheme comprises of over 55,361 sq ft of much needed retail and restaurant units providing buyers with numerous restaurants and the large Marks and Spencer Food outlet.

Meet The Team

Charles Thursfield Managing Director

Charles, who launched Harveys, back in 2001 has been at the office in Mere Green since 1996. Having over 20 years’ experience in property, Charles was born in Four Oaks and has a wealth of knowledge of the local area. He wanted to create a one stop property firm to cover sales, lettings and professional matters whilst having the client and customer at the centre of everything they do. Charles prides himself in the fact that much of his business is repeat business and many local solicitors recommend Harveys as a firm they can trust. In his spare time, Charles is a keen runner and squash player and enjoys dog walking and spending time with his family.

Simon Berry Chartered Surveyor and Estate Agent

Simon runs Harveys Professional and Valuation Department having joined them in 2008. Simon has over 38 years experience primarily in the Sutton Coldfield area in estate agency and professional work and now specialises in leasehold enfranchisement matters with the purchase of freeholds on houses and lease extensions on flats and maisonettes. He also carries out a variety of other valuations for capital gains tax, probate and matrimonial purposes.

Jo Whittock Lettings and Sales

After many years watching Location, Location, Location and every other home related TV show Jo was bitten by the Estate Agency bug in 2016 and jumped at the chance to work at Harveys; “as soon as I walked through the door I knew that this was for me”. Having over 20 years experience in a Sales and Customer Service Managerial role within a different industry Jo was able to transfer these skills to both the Lettings and Sales departments. Other passions of Jo’s are interior design, home staging, Spain and good food!
